Carer Gateway - If you support a family member or friend who has a disability, mental health condition, chronic health condition, terminal illness or is frail aged, you can access free support via the Carer Gateway. Services available for carers include - Carer direct support, carer support planning, counselling, in-person peer support, emergency respite care and practical information and advice, and connects carers with local supports. Carer Support Fund is administered by Tandem Carers for the benefit of people in a caring relationship with a person who is receiving services from one of Victoria's mental health services. All applications are made through and approved by the Area Mental Health Services who forward applications to Tandem for processing. The Mental Health Carer Support Fund provides funding to assist people in their support role, to promote and sustain the relationship, and improve the wellbeing of families and members of the community performing this role. Applications are assessed and approved on an individual basis by your Area Mental Health Services (AMHS). To apply for the CSF contact the Carer Support Coordinator at your AMHS.
